Here's Bill Scheer's story:  

"If you’re like me you’re a little skeptical about the promises companies make regarding their products, services etc.  I’ve found the best recommendations come from people you know and their actual experiences.  So I’m here to tell you a story about an experience of mine.

  I was out of town visiting a friend of mine and we were dining at a very nice restaurant when all of a sudden I passed out.  Not the falling face down in your plate kind of out but just a head nodding limp arms kind of thing.  I was out for about 30 seconds and when I came to I felt fine.  My friend insisted that we go to the emergency room (which I didn’t want to do) but I finally gave in and we went to the hospital. 

  In about 10-minutes I was rushed into the ICU and wired up like a science project.  After monitoring me for awhile the doctors informed me that I would have to have surgery the next day.  I’m thinking to myself that I would like a second opinion and these doctors didn’t have any of my medical records and let’s face it I didn’t feel comfortable in a strange hospital.

I joined MedJetAssist about eight months ago, so I called them.  They were extremely professional and talked to me and the doctors, found out what the situation was and told me they would pick me up at 10 o’clock that night.  They were there right on time, took me in an ambulance to the airport where they had a medically equipped jet waiting.  I was being monitored by a nurse and two paramedics for the entire trip back to Chicago.  When we landed there was another ambulance waiting that took me to the hospital of my choice, they wheeled me into a room and the doctors were already there saying “We’ve been waiting for you”.   I had the operation the next day and I’m fine.

I’ve been telling everyone I know that travels at all about this service.  This was the best $175.00 I ever spent in my life.  ($275 for Family Coverage) It’s cheaper than a dinner for two at some restaurants in Chicago.  I’m telling you from personal experience this service is worth every penny."

     Gary Gable's wife Lisa suffered a serious broken ankle in St. Martin in March.  A MedJetAssist member, Gary called to explore whether MedJetAssist could help.  In consultation with MedJetAssist, it was decided to set Lisa's ankle in St. Martin, then fly her home for surgery.  They arranged for (and paid for) two first-class seats on the first plane out the next morning, and even offered to send an escort down to assist!!   Gary declined that service, and was surprised upon arriving at the St. Martin airport that the Fire Department was there to assist with getting Lisa on the plane.   

     Lisa has now had the surgery and is at home recuperating.
