Steps to Triple
Your Phone Prospecting Hit Ratio
You
want to contact a prospect by phone. Perhaps he's even expressed an interest in
your product or service. You know you can't get an order by email -- it's going
to take a conversation to get the selling process to the next step.
You try
to catch him answering his own phone - no success. You try leaving voicemails,
asking him to call you back -- he doesn't.
You need a better plan, and here's one that's worked for me.

LinkedIn --
The Reference Checker's Friend
Everyone you've ever hired gave you references who had glowing
things to say about them, right? And then some of them failed. How
can that be? Glowing, it seems, is in
the eye of the beholder. Or perhaps in the eyes of friends who want them
to have another chance, despite their mediocre performance at the last
job. How can you get unbiased
references? Try LinkedIn. You can many times find lots of
people - even some you know, perhaps, who can give you an unbiased assessment
of the candidate. I had a ground-breaking
experience with a recent LinkedIn reference check. Here's
how that happened......
Questions Down, Answers Up
You're
the boss. Are you asking the questions or giving the
answers?
Here's how a CEBI member says that ought to
work:

5 Signs You Have a Toxic Employee
There
are marginal employees, weak employees and problem employees. A drain on your
business, and you'd be better off without them. Then there are toxic
employees. These people are a cancer that's eating away at your business hour by
hour. You have no idea how much these people are costing you, and they could
cost you your company.
What's
the difference between a lousy employee and a toxic employee?
And, as always, we're
interested in your ideas for newsletter articles. Would you perhaps write
a guest Editorial? Please let us know
if you have ideas or material you'd be willing to share with others.

Cost
of Christmas
up 3.5%
For
24 years, PNC has calculated the cost of the items in the song "The Twelve
Days of Christmas" if purchased at current prices.
The
2011 PNC
Christmas Price Index (PNC CPI) is up moderate
3.5%
over last year.
The 2011 price tag for the PNC CPI (a full set of items in the song) is $24,263.18.
A
true love sending all of the gifts on all of the 12 days will spend $101,119.84 for all 364 gifts, a 4.4% increase compared with last
year (mostly driven by the swans).
